This lifestyle may be a little overwhelming, and may require you to buy a juicer. Fitness should also play a huge roll in your new skin care routine. Raising heart rates through exercise increasing blood flow, and bringing more oxygen to the skin, cleansing away impurities from the body through your own sweat. 20 to 30 minutes of exercise a is just enough to keep your bodies, and skin healthy.

Sufficient hydration is crucial in preventing dry and flaky skin, stay hydrated by eating foods high in water like fruits and vegetables. Drinking 8 glass of water a day will help your skin stay soft and youthful looking.

Fiji water is at the top of my bottled water choice. I feel it taste the best, and it’s also know to be rich in colloidal silica which is beneficial to your body and skin by improving it’s elasticity.

 Skin Care Products:

Choosing skin care products that work best for you can be a bit of a challenge. So many products on the market, labels, packing, and promises. Understanding your skin is the first step when deciding which products to go with. A skin analysis will put you on the right path in discovering which products will work best for you, along with trial and error till you find the ones that are perfect for you.

My skin is normal to combination, it tends to change with weather and sudden diet changes.

For the most part my loyalty remains strong to the following skin care products, and has been doing an amazing job in keeping my skin looking it’s best. 

Dermalogica, Mario Badescu, and Bobbi Brown are my top favorite skin care lines. They are all safe, high quality, scent free, and extremely effective.

I begin my daily skin care routine with precleanse to remove any makeup, oil, and anything else that should not be on my face. Applying a dime size to dry skin, rinsing away and following with an mild exfoliation. Daily Micro exfoliant is safe to use on a daily basis, and is also by dermalogica. As a makeup artist clear and bright skin are my priority, this will ensure even skin tones at all times, even when you are not wearing makeup. I take the extra step by washing my face for the third time with my favorite cleanser, Skin Resurfacing cleanser part of the anti-aging line dermalogica carries.

It’s a highly-active lactic acid cleanser which shouldn’t be used as often as I use it. My skin has adjusted perfectly to this cleanser as I use it twice a day. This is not recommended for everyone, and as I mentioned before trial and error is part of perfecting a skin care routine that works specifically for you, and your skin type.

To help soothe my skin once the cleanser is rinsed off, I apply a toner staying away from ones containing alcohol to prevent my skin from over drying. Proper hydration like the recommended 8glass of water a day will help your skin lock in all moisture necessary when training your skin to handle these spa like skincare routines, in the comfort of your own home.

Kiehl’s is also on my list of favorites, when it comes to skin care. I choose my products by effectiveness, and budget friendly pricing. There are amazing website like www.makeupalley.com that can help by showing reviews, prices, and ratings when you’re in the market for new cosmetics.

Toner works as your final cleanse, and a sponge to help absorb any mineral oils, and moisturizers you apply as you end your skin care routine. Because of the manual and chemical exfoliation my skin gets from the daily micro-exfoliant, and latic acid, this milky toner works as an excellent source to soothe my skin. It’s milky and hydrating.

The final part of my skin routine all depends on the time of day. If it’s day time I will apply a sunscreen or rich moisturizer. If it’s right before I’m going to bed, I will add a vitamin serum right before my moisturizer so that my skin gets extra vitamin benefits while I get my beauty sleep. (I need a lot of sleep).

Putting together your skin care collection should be consider an investment toward your skin’s health. Cosmetics can be a little pricey, which is I why I recommend a little research on your part to figure out which products will works best on you, and your skin type. All well worth it in the end, and will definitely add balance to most hectic lifestyles when 8hours of sleep isn’t realistic, or when you happen to have that one night that you fall asleep in your makeup, drink more than your probably should, or are unable to follow your healthy diet for a few days. The skin is forgiving when you create a skin care routine for it, such as this one.

Sleep is a time when your body cells can regenerate, and repair aiding in stopping any premature aging. Truth is we live in the 20th century and most women are working late and long hours. Most of us don’t have the luxury to sleep 8hours on a daily/night basis. We have to pick and choose our battles sometimes when it’s our weekends off. A weekend resting your body, and getting those 8hours of sleep will come with rewards such as beautiful skin. Is probably a better choice than a night out, “socially drinking”.

Naps are skin friendly, and my personal favorite.

Free your brushes from any growing bacteria that may end up on your face. Clean brushes are so important, and most women don’t realize how much bacteria is multiplying when brushes are neglected, and not stored properly. Makeup Books recommend you to clean your brushes twice a month, and even then that’s too long in between if you are using your makeup brushes on a daily basis. Twice a week is more settling, and easy to do with Cinema Secrets professional brush cleaner. This has been the cleaning solution of choice for many years by some of the best makeup artist out there today.

I am aware that all this information can be a little overwhelming, and maybe a little intimidating. It’s taken me 3years and 6 months of studying skin at one of the best schools Paul Mitchell to perfect my own skin care routine. I have written out what I learned in 3years, and risked through trial and error in this short blog in hopes of helping others understand the importance of skin care.

This was extremely brief with hopes of it being easiest to understand.

I always wondered why red carpet pre-award shows simply discuss wardrobe fashion, and never their makeup fashion.

A woman’s makeup is what usually ties it all together, and last nights award show was graced by so many flawless faces.

I managed to settle on 5 of what I thought were the most beautiful faces I saw on the red carpet. It will be no surprise to me, that these beautiful makeup trends will carry out through all of spring and summer.

Jessica Alba takes first place winning the best makeup for last nights 2013 golden globe awards. FLAWLESS! The color palette beautifully compliments her skin tone, hair, and beautiful evening gown. The orange lip color really tied it all together with the right amount of contrast.

Introducing my favorite team of cosmetics. These 4 wonderful products contribute to many of my polished looks. All top quality and extremely easy to apply.

Always beginning with a clean and moisturized face. For the foundation application you can use your hands as well as a foundation brush to apply. The foundation shown and one I use when achieving this flawless look in minutes is by Gorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.

In Style magazine awarding this foundation as one of the best beauty buys of 2012.

   When applying this foundation focus on the outer areas of the face. Not so much under the eyes, around the nose as you will be covering these areas with the DERMA COLOR camouflage system (concealer).

You may use a concealer brush or any small, angled synthetic brush so that you are able to get close to the inner corners of your eyes, under your eyes and around your nose. Blend small areas with finger tips or a small, fluffy brush.

bdellium Kabuki Brush $14.52

Using my favorite kabuki brush to blend out all edges. Blending over eyes, under eyes, cheeks and all over face. This brush is extremely soft and will blend all makeup out evenly.

Once the concealer is evenly blended with the foundation previously applied. You’ll want to set the center of the face with pressed, setting powder of your choice. In this post I am using SmashBox Photo Set Pressed Powder retails for $29.00

Set center of the face with brush or sponge.

Add dimension to your face by contouring with subtle warming colors like MAC Cosmetics Mineralize SKIN FINISH Natural Medium Deep.

Apply skin finish with a small brush similar to bdellium #945

 To ensure a smooth finish dip your kabuki brush in a little lose powder and blend all over.

Complete your over all look with a brow pencil, mascara, and your favorite lip color.
